Families will travel mile after mile

Just to get to Mom and Dad's, and see their smile.

There's that special aroma on Thanksgiving Day

Turkey and pies. . . Nothing's better than this, they'll say.

Sitting around the table

conversation flows free

Grandma's really happy with a baby on her knee

Everyone seems so relaxed

It's how it ought to be

This land of ours that lets us all live free

And as you are contemplating the journey home

please remember to pray for those living all alone

It's time to thank our Father above

for all of our blessings and His wonderful love

There's lots of hugging as you say goodbye

It's amazing how quickly time seemed to fly

And as you travel on your way

don't forget to say I am thankful. . .

I am living in the good old USA
