We now have a year to change our ways

To read our Bible and to practice what it says

Make this your year of good intent

Always remember why God was sent

Don't ever forget how much we need God's love

And the wonderful blessings we get from above

Make sure you never forget to say

"Thank You, Lord" for this lovely day

When things go wrong, don't fret and frown

It does not help, it just pulls you down

Turn to the one on who you can depend

He will always be there

He sticks with you 'till the end

As the weeks and months slip by

You'll be very thankful you gave this a try

The change in your life will be plain to see

And for the rest of your life that's how it should be

So go ahead

Begin right now

Take the Pledge

Seal it with a vow

And as the Lord looks down He will see

The best there is in you and me
