Remember December 25th

Please don't put Christmas Day

Back in its slot

It was God's gift to us

A "Forget Me Not"

Hold it close

To your heart each day

And say "Thanks" to the Father

Every time you pray

If Jesus had not

Been born on this day

All of us

Would be going astray

Our lives would be empty

With no hope in sight

Nothing to strive for

Just darkness

No light

Our Father in Heaven

Knew what was missing

And sent His only Son

To fulfill His mission

Jesus took our sins

And nailed them to the Cross

When you believe in Him

Your soul will not be lost

So please don't forget

This very special day

And the awful price

Our Savior had to pay

He opened the door

To Heaven you see

That all of us are welcome

That includes you and me
