Jesus. . .the Reason for the Season

For many years

God worked out His plan

To send to earth His Son

That's how it all began

December 25th is a very special day

and the Savior of the world

lay asleep on the hay

He did not arrive in splendor

or riches, you see

But was born in a stable

just as humble as can be

This innocent child did change the world, you must agree

By declaring the Good News to you and me

The love He has to give us is for every nation

Rich or poor, it does not matter what station

Just open the door and invite Him in

And you will be forgiven of all your sin!

On Christmas Day with family and friends

We will celebrate this day until the world ends

As you open your gifts

just remember to say

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for this wonderful day!
